Case Details
Parents of a girl aged 11 years sought treatment for multiple molluscum contagiosum that she had for quite some time. Their chief concern was to stop the fast progress of this condition as the molluscum were increasing in numbers. When we first saw her, she had about 36 of them on her body,  especially on the trunk, upper extremities and face. There were quite a few on the fingers too which caused her great discomfort while holding things or writing etc.

Despite being 11 yrs. old, she appeared very puny and thin, and looked much smaller than her age. Her malnourished condition was attributed to her poor appetite. She was only fond of meat, which she relished very much. Keeping in mind her impoverished health state, her pediatrician had done Mantoux test and few other relevant investigations to rule out the possibility of tuberculosis. In the course of the interview, we noticed that the girl was extremely shy and only answered a few questions as briefly as possible in a very soft tone. Her parents too confirmed her shy behavior and added that she would feel extremely bashful even while speaking to her relatives if they happen to meet her after a few months. Although she appeared quite mild, her mother said that she is very headstrong about certain matters.

Following a detailed study of her case, she was put on a homeopathic medicine 'Silica' from 10-10-2006.
