My 9 year old daughter was suffering from severe cough since many years. She would get these cough attacks every month throughout the year. Often, the intensity of cough would not allow her to sleep at nights. This severity at times, made me feel that she might get asthma at an early age. I used to get scared to give her curd, buttermilk, chocolates, ice-creams, cold drinks and other food stuff which used to bring on her cough, but avoiding too didn't help her much. Her cough did not respond to even antibiotic treatment given for continuous 6 months; it was painful for me to give her those tablets daily....Just imagine a 5 year old child taking nearly 21 pills of antibiotics in a month.
3 years back, I decided to take Homeopathic treatment for her. She responded well to it; slowly the frequency of her cough reduced greatly. More so, she could now tolerate all types of food stuffs like ice cream, cold drinks, etc which she couldn't tolerate earlier. My daughter is most happy because she can now enjoy all the food items like any other child that she couldn't do earlier.
