Does one always have to discontinue allopathic medication while taking homeopathic treatment? |
| No, not as a rule. If a person is taking some allopathic medicines for a very long time, than it is not advisable to discontinue them abruptly. We put the patient under homeopathic treatment and when the improvement starts the other medicines are gradually withdrawn. For e.g. Patients who come with high blood pressure and already taking anti-hypertensives are usually given homeopathic medicines along with it. After careful monitoring of the blood pressure the tablets are withdrawn and only when the blood pressure is totally stabilized the anti-hypertensives are discontinued. | |
